Professional Search Case Study

The Problem:

Our Behavioral and Personality Assessment vendor is based locally and called with a referral. A national vendor to hospitals and healthcare institutions was setting up a new center in our area and needed two key employees. The problem was that the vendor was contracted to open the center in four weeks and had not had any luck in identifying candidates for these positions. There were penalties, and the prospect of them losing the account if they were not open on time. The need was for a technician and a manager to run the center. The compensation and benefit plan was average to below average.

The Solution:

We took the assignment on a retained search - hourly fee model. We quoted a minimum and maximum fee that we would charge, and once we received the go ahead started working on the position.

The Result:

We filled both positions in time for the client to open the center on time. Both positions were completed and billed for less than the maximum fee quoted, and significantly less than the traditional search fee would have been. The client has since stated that they would like to use us for upcoming searches in new markets that they may enter.
