The Problem:

As a small "boutique" staffing firm, TriStarr Staffing has always been perceived as a quality over quantity provider. A long-time client called with a request that we had never encountered. They had a very immediate need for a large clerical project requiring a large number of people (for us), that needed to be completed as quickly as possible. The request was made at approximately 9:00 am and was for a total of 60 people-20 per shift for three shifts-beginning that day at 3:30 pm.

The Solution:

TriStarr recently invested in a new technology that allows us to mass communicate with our temporary employees via phone, email, and instant messaging. We used this tool to create a specific message detailing the specifics of the position and contact more than 500 people within 45 minutes of receiving the call from our client. As we were confirming start times with employees, the client realized that they did not have enough supervisors to handle the third shift and cancelled that part of the request.

The following day we had a complete shift for the first shift request, and within 2 days had a complete shift for the second shift position. At a follow-up meeting, the client asked if it would be possible for us to identify employees to act as leads. This was completed in one day.

The Result:

The end result was that the project was completed ahead of schedule, and the project was deemed a success.

For TriStarr, we proved to ourselves that the systems, policies, procedures, and technology that we had in place could meet even the most difficult requests from our clients.
